حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ و حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَشِّرْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ بِالسَّنَاءِ وَالنَّصْرِ وَالتَّمْكِينِ فَمَنْ عَمِلَ مِنْهُمْ عَمَلَ الْآخِرَةِ لِلدُّنْيَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ نَصِيبٌ.
English Translation
Abdur-Rahman ibn Mahdi told us, Abdul-Aziz ibn Muslim told us — and Abdullah told us, Abdul-Wahid ibn Ghiyath told me, Abdul-Aziz ibn Muslim told us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, in his account: al-Rabi' told us, from Abu al-Aliyah, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said, "Give this nation glad tidings of eminence, victory, and establishment. Whoever among them does the work of the Hereafter for the sake of this world will have no share in the Hereafter."
