Abdullah told us, Ibrahim ibn Isma'il ibn Yahya ibn Salama ibn Kuhayl told me, my father told me, from his father, from Salama, from Sa'id ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, from his father, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to teach us: when we entered the morning, to say: "We have entered the morning upon the natural disposition of Islam, and the word of sincere devotion, and the way of our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and the religion of our father Ibrahim, a monotheist by nature and a Muslim, and he was not of the polytheists" — and when we entered the evening, to say the same.
