حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ { وَأُولَاتُ الْأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَنْ يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ } لِلْمُطَلَّقَةِ ثَلَاثًا وَلِلْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا قَالَ هِيَ لِلْمُطَلَّقَةِ ثَلَاثًا وَلِلْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا.
English Translation
'Abdullah told us, Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr al-Muqaddami told us, 'Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi informed us, from al-Muthanna, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, may Allah be pleased with them both, who said: I said to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "'And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they deliver their burdens' -- is this for the woman divorced thrice, or for the widow?" He said: "It is for the woman divorced thrice, and for the widow."
