English Translation
Yahya told us, who said: I heard al-A'mash say: I heard Shaqiq say: I heard Khabbab -- and by another chain, Abu Mu'awiyah told us, al-A'mash told us, from Shaqiq, from Khabbab, who said: We emigrated with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, seeking the countenance of Allah, blessed and exalted is He, and so our reward became due upon Allah, mighty and glorious is He. Among us were some who passed away without having eaten anything of their reward, among them Mus'ab ibn 'Umayr, who was killed on the day of Uhud. We found nothing to shroud him in except a striped cloak; when we covered his head with it, his feet showed, and when we covered his feet, his head showed. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered us to cover his head with it and put idhkhir grass over his feet. And among us were some for whom the fruit had ripened, and he is gathering it.
