حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي غَالِبٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْتَمِسُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فِي وَتْرٍ فَإِنِّي قَدْ رَأَيْتُهَا فَنُسِّيتُهَا هِيَ لَيْلَةُ مَطَرٍ وَرِيحٍ أَوْ قَالَ قَطْرٍ وَرِيحٍ.
English Translation
Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Abi Ghalib narrated to me: Abd al-Rahman ibn Sharik narrated to us: my father narrated to me from Simak, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Seek the Night of Decree in the last ten nights of Ramadan, on an odd night, for I have indeed seen it and then was made to forget it; it is a night of rain and wind" - or he said "drizzle and wind."
