حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَنَحْوَهَا وَفِي الصُّبْحِ بِأَطْوَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ.
English Translation
Jabir ibn Samurah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to recite in the Dhuhr prayer 'Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High' (Surah al-A'la) and similar surahs, and in the Fajr prayer he would recite longer than that.
