حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عِيسَى أَبُو بِشْرٍ الرَّاسِبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ أَبُو زَيْدٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَدْ رَأَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَرْجِسَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ.
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Sarjis had seen the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), though he did not have companionship (i.e., was not counted among the Companions).
