English Translation
Ibn Abbas said: There was a time when I used to say that the children of Muslims are with the Muslims and the children of the polytheists are with the polytheists, until so-and-so narrated to me from so-and-so that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was asked about them and said: 'Allah knows best what they would have done.' He said: Then I met the man and he informed me, so I refrained from my opinion.
