English Translation
The daughter of Uhban narrated that Ali ibn Abi Talib came to Uhban and said: 'What prevents you from following me?' He said: 'My close friend and your cousin - meaning the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) - advised me, saying: There will be tribulations and division. When that happens, break your sword and take a sword of wood. The tribulation and division have occurred, so I broke my sword and took a sword of wood.' And he instructed his family when he became gravely ill to shroud him and not put a shirt on him. She said: 'But we put a shirt on him, and when morning came, the shirt was on the clothes rack.'
