English Translation
Sulayman ibn Harb told us, Hammad ibn Zayd told us, from Ayyub, from Muhammad, who said: al-Hakam ibn 'Amr al-Ghifari was appointed governor over Khorasan. 'Imran ibn Husayn wished for it so much that it was said to him, "O Abu Nujayd, shall we not summon him for you?" He said, "No." So 'Imran ibn Husayn got up and met him among the people. He said, "Do you remember the day the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, 'There is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to Allah'?" He said, "Yes." 'Imran said, "Allahu Akbar."
