English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Kahmas told us, Ibn Buraydah told me, from Ibn Mughaffal, who said: He saw a man among his companions flicking pebbles, so he said: "Do not flick pebbles, for the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to dislike flicking pebbles" - or he said "forbid it," Kahmas would say that - "for it does not wound an enemy nor catch game, but it puts out an eye and breaks a tooth." Then he saw him afterward flicking pebbles again, so he said: "I told you that the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to forbid flicking pebbles, or dislike it, and then I see you flicking pebbles - I will not speak a word to you for such-and-such a time."
