حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ بْنِ مِلْحَانَ الْقَيْسِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُنَا بِصِيَامِ لَيَالِي الْبِيضِ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ وَأَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ وَخَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ وَقَالَ هِيَ كَصَوْمِ الدَّهْرِ.
English Translation
Abd al-Samad told us: Hammam told us: Anas ibn Sirin told us, from Abd al-Malik ibn Qatadah ibn Milhan al-Qaysi, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to command us to fast the white nights: the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth, and he said: "That is like fasting a lifetime."
