حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْبَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَهَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, from Shu'bah, Ma'bad ibn Khalid told us, from Zayd ibn Uqbah, from Samurah ibn Jundub, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite in the Friday prayer 'Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High' and 'Has there come to you the account of the overwhelming event.'
