English Translation
Isma'il ibn Ibrahim, from Bahz ibn Hakim, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, our private parts - what may we show of them and what must we avoid?" He said, "Guard your private part, except from your wife or what your right hand possesses." I said, "What if people are mixed together with one another?" He said, "If you are able that no one see it, then let it not be seen." I said, "What if one of us is alone?" He said, "Then Allah, Blessed and Exalted, is more deserving that one feel shy before Him, than before people."
