حَدَّثَنَا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ هِلَالِ بْنِ أَبِي زَيْنَبَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى الْقُشَيْرِيِّ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ أَيُّكُمْ قَرَأَ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ لَقَدْ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ بَعْضَكُمْ خَالَجَنِيهَا.
English Translation
Mahbub ibn al-Hasan ibn Hilal ibn Abi Zaynab narrated to us, Khalid narrated to us, from Zurarah ibn Awfa al-Qushayri, from Imran ibn Husayn, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) prayed the Dhuhr prayer, and when he finished, he said: 'Which of you recited "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High"?' Some of the people said: 'I did, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'I knew that one of you was competing with me in it.'
