حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي لَيْثٍ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ أَوْ قَالَ عِمْرَانُ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ الْحَنَاتِمِ أَوْ قَالَ الْحَنْتَمِ وَخَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْحَرِيرِ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Jafar narrated to us, Shubah narrated to us, from Abu al-Tayyah, who said: I heard a man from Banu Layth say: I bear witness regarding Imran ibn Husayn — Shubah said: or Imran said: I bear witness regarding the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) — that he forbade al-Hanatim (certain types of vessels) — or he said al-Hantam — and gold rings and silk.
