حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَيَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْكَيِّ فَاكْتَوَيْنَا فَمَا أَفْلَحْنَا وَلَا أَنْجَحْنَا.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Jafar narrated to us, Shubah narrated to us; and Yazid informed us, Shubah narrated, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from Imran ibn Husayn, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade us from branding animals on the face and from striking the face.
