حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ حَدَّثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ يَسَافٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ يَتَسَمَّنُونَ يُحِبُّونَ السِّمَنَ يُعْطُونَ الشَّهَادَةَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْأَلُوهَا.
English Translation
Waki narrated to us, al-Amash narrated to us, Hilal ibn Yasaf narrated to us, from Imran ibn Husayn, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'The best of people are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them.'
