حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا الْجُعَيْدُ عَن يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ عَن الْمُحَرَّرِ عَن مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا يُقَلِّبُ كَعَبَاتِهَا أَحَدٌ يَنْتَظِرُ مَا تَأْتِي بِهِ إِلَّا عَصَى اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ.
English Translation
Makki b. Ibrahim told us: al-Ju'ayd told us, from Yazid b. Khusayfa, from Humayd b. Bashir, from al-Muharrar, from Muhammad b. Ka'b, from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "No one turns over the pieces of the divination arrows, awaiting what they will bring, except that he has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger."
