حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَن عَوْفٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ خَالِدًا الْأَحْدَبَ عَن صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ قَالَ أُغْمِيَ عَلَى أَبِي مُوسَى فَبَكَوْا عَلَيْهِ فَأَفَاقَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَبْرَأُ إِلَيْكُمْ مِمَّا بَرِئَ مِنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِمَّنْ حَلَقَ وَسَلَقَ وَخَرَقَ وَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِمَا عَفَّانُ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فَقَالَ فِيهِمَا جَمِيعًا مِمَّنْ حَلَقَ أَوْ سَلَقَ أَوْ خَرَقَ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Shu'ba told us, from Awf, who said: I heard Khalid al-Ahdab, from Safwan b. Muhriz, who said: Abu Musa fell unconscious, so they wept over him. When he recovered, he said, "I disown before you what the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, disowned - of one who shaves, wails, or tears." Affan told us both of these another time and said in both together, "of one who shaves or wails or tears."
