حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ أُغْمِيَ عَلَى أَبِي مُوسَى فَبَكَوْا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّنْ بَرِئَ مِنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلُوا عَنْ ذَلِكَ امْرَأَتَهُ فَقَالَتْ مَنْ حَلَقَ أَوْ خَرَقَ أَوْ سَلَقَ.
English Translation
Affan narrated to us: Shu'ba narrated to us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Yazid b. Aws, who said: Abu Musa fainted, and they wept over him, so he said: "I am free of responsibility for whomever the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, freed himself of responsibility for." So they asked his wife about that, and she said: "Whoever shaves, tears, or wails loudly."
