حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى عَقِيلٍ فِيمَا أَعْلَمُ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ لَعِبَ بِالنَّرْدِ فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ.
English Translation
Attab narrated to us: Abdullah narrated to us: Usama b. Zayd informed us: Sa'id b. Abi Hind narrated to me, from Abu Murra, the freedman of Aqil - as far as I know - from Abu Musa, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Whoever plays with backgammon has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger."
