English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq al-Shaybani, who said: I heard Abd Allah ibn Abi Awfa say: We were with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on a journey, and he said to a man, "Dismount and mix us a drink" — Sufyan said once, "O Messenger of Allah" — he said, "Mix it." He said, "O Messenger of Allah…" he said, "Mix it." So he mixed it, and he drank. When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had drunk, he gestured with his hand toward the night: "When you see the night has come from here, then the fasting person has broken his fast."
