English Translation

Waki' told us, from Isra'il, from Abu Ishaq, from Ubaydullah ibn Jarir, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: There is no people among whom acts of disobedience are committed, while they are more mighty and more powerful than those who commit them, and yet they do not change it, except that Allah, Exalted is He, encompasses them all with His punishment. Hajjaj also told us this: Sharik informed us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Mundhir ibn Jarir, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said — and he mentioned its meaning. Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar informed us, from Abu Ishaq, from Ubaydullah ibn Jarir, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him — and he mentioned its meaning. Aswad ibn Amir told us: Sharik told me, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Mundhir — Abdullah said: I think it is from Jarir — from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: No people act... and he mentioned it.
