English Translation
Isma'il told us: Yunus informed us, from Amr ibn Sa'id, from Abu Zur'a ibn Amr ibn Jarir, who said: Jarir said: I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, upon listening and obeying, and upon giving sincere counsel to every Muslim. He said: And Jarir, whenever he bought something and it pleased him more than its price, would say to its seller, "Know, by Allah, that what we have taken is dearer to us than what we gave you" - meaning by that, fulfilling his obligation faithfully.
