حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ قَيْسًا يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ الصُّنَابِحِيَّ الْأَحْمَسِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ أَلَا إِنِّي فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ وَإِنِّي مُكَاثِرٌ بِكُمْ الْأُمَمَ فَلَا تَقْتَتِلُنَّ بَعْدِي.
English Translation
Sufyan ibn Uyayna narrated to us, from Isma'il, that he heard Qays say: I heard al-Sunabihi al-Ahmasi say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "Indeed, I am your forerunner at the Basin, and I will boast of your numbers before the other nations, so do not fight one another after me."
