حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْقُشَيْرِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُسْلِمَةً فَهِيَ فِدَاؤُهُ مِنْ النَّارِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ مَكَانَ كُلِّ عَظْمٍ مِنْ عِظَامِ مُحَرِّرِهِ بِعَظْمٍ مِنْ عِظَامِهِ وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ أَحَدَ وَالِدَيْهِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يُغْفَرْ لَهُ فَأَبْعَدَهُ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ ضَمَّ يَتِيمًا مِنْ بَيْنِ أَبَوَيْنِ مُسْلِمَيْنِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ إِلَى طَعَامِهِ وَشَرَابِهِ حَتَّى يُغْنِيَهُ اللَّهُ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ.
English Translation
Bahz and Affan told us, they said: Hammad b. Salama told us - Affan said in his narration: Ali b. Zayd informed us from Zurara b. Awfa from Malik b. Amr al-Qushayri, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Whoever frees a Muslim slave, it will be his ransom from the Fire" - Affan said: "in place of every bone of the bones of the one he freed, a bone of his own bones [will be spared] - and whoever reaches [old age while] one of his parents [is alive] and is not then forgiven, may Allah put him far away - and whoever takes in an orphan between two Muslim parents" - Affan said: "sharing his food and drink until Allah makes him independent of need, Paradise is guaranteed for him."
