English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abu Bishr, from Abdullah ibn Shaqiq, from Raja' ibn Abi Raja', who said: Buraydah was at the door of the mosque, and Mihjan passed by him while Sukbah was praying. Buraydah — and there was a playful boastfulness in him toward Mihjan — said, "Do you not pray as this one prays?" Mihjan said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, took my hand and climbed up Mount Uhud, and looked out over Madinah, and said: 'Woe to its mother, a town whose people will leave it in the best condition it has ever been, or the very best it has ever been, and the Dajjal will come to it and find at every one of its gates an angel with drawn wings, so he will not enter it.'" He said: "Then he came down, still holding my hand, and entered the mosque, and there was a man praying. He said to me, 'Who is this?' So I went up to him and praised him with good words. He said, 'Be quiet, do not let him hear it, lest you destroy him.'" He said: "Then he came to the chamber of one of his wives and shook his hand free of mine, and said: 'The best of your religion is the easiest of it; the best of your religion is the easiest of it.'" Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abu Bishr, who said: I heard Abdullah ibn Shaqiq narrating from Raja' ibn Abi Raja' al-Bahili, from Mihjan, a man from Aslam, and he mentioned something similar in meaning, but Hajjaj and Abu al-Nadr did not say "with its wing."
