English Translation

Waki' told us, Hammad ibn Salama told us, from Abu al-Ushara', from his father, who said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, is slaughtering valid only in the throat or the upper part of the chest?" He said, "If you were to stab it in its thigh, that would suffice you." Affan told us, Hammad ibn Salama told us, from Abu al-Ushara', from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the like of it. He said: And I heard him say, "By your father." Hudba ibn Khalid and Ibrahim ibn al-Hajjaj narrated it to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salama told us, he said: Abu al-Ushara' told us, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, similar to the hadith of Waki'. Hawthara ibn Ashras told us, Hammad ibn Salama told us, and he mentioned something similar.
