English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sent eighteen sacrificial camels with a man and gave him instructions regarding them. The man set off, then returned and asked: "What if one of them becomes exhausted and cannot continue?" He said: "Slaughter it, then dip its shoe (garland) in its blood and place it on its side, and do not eat from it — neither you nor anyone in your traveling party."
