English Translation
Waki' told us: Sufyan told us, from al-Aswad ibn Qays, who said: I heard Jundub al-Alaqi narrate that Gabriel was delayed in coming to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so he became distressed. He said: it was said to him - he said: Then it was revealed: "By the morning brightness, and by the night when it grows still, your Lord has not forsaken you, nor does He hate you."
