حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَن أَشْعَثَ عَن عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَن يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ عَن أَبِيهِ قَالَ لَقِيَنِي عَمِّي وَمَعَهُ رَايَةٌ فَقُلْتُ أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ فَقَالَ بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةَ أَبِيهِ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَقْتُلَهُ.
English Translation
'Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ma'mar told us, from Ash'ath, from 'Adi b. Thabit, from Yazid b. al-Bara', from his father, who said: My paternal uncle met me, carrying a banner. I said: Where are you headed? He said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sent me to a man who had married his father's wife, and he commanded me to kill him.
