حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَن مَنْصُورٍ وَالْأَعْمَشِ عَن طَلْحَةَ عَن عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْسَجَةَ النَّهْمِيِّ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى الصُّفُوفِ الْأُوَلِ وَزَيِّنُوا الْقُرْآنَ بِأَصْوَاتِكُمْ وَمَنْ مَنَحَ مَنِيحَةَ لَبَنٍ أَوْ مَنِيحَةَ وَرِقٍ أَوْ هَدَى زُقَاقًا فَهُوَ كَعِتْقِ رَقَبَةٍ.
English Translation
'Abd al-Razzaq told us, Sufyan informed us, from Mansur and al-A'mash, from Talhah, from 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Awsajah al-Nahmi, from al-Bara' b. 'Azib, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Indeed Allah and His angels send blessings upon those in the front rows; beautify the Qur'an with your voices; and whoever grants a gift of milk, or a gift of silver, or guides someone along a path, it is like freeing a slave.
