English Translation
People came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and he said: "Why do I see you coming to me with your teeth discolored? Use the siwak (tooth-stick). Were it not that I would impose hardship on my ummah, I would have made the siwak obligatory upon them just as I made ablution obligatory upon them."
