حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْكُوفِيِّ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى الصَّفِّ الْمُقَدَّمِ وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ يُغْفَرُ لَهُ مَدَّ صَوْتِهِ وَيُصَدِّقُهُ مَنْ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ رَطْبٍ وَيَابِسٍ وَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنْ صَلَّى مَعَهُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ و حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ.
English Translation
Ali ibn Abd Allah told us: Mu'adh told us: my father told me, from Qatadah, from Abu Ishaq al-Kufi, from al-Bara' ibn Azib, that the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Allah and His angels send blessings upon the front row, and the caller to prayer is forgiven to the extent his voice reaches, and whoever hears him, whether moist or dry thing, bears witness for him, and he has a reward equal to that of whoever prays with him." Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Ubayd Allah al-Qawariri told me: Mu'adh ibn Hisham told us, mentioning the same with its chain.
