English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us, from Abu Ishaq, who said: I heard al-Bara' say: A man recited Surat al-Kahf while there was a riding animal in the house, and it began to shy in fright. He looked, and there was a mist or a cloud that had enveloped him. They said that this was mentioned to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, "Recite, so-and-so, for it is the tranquility (sakinah) that descended at the Qur'an," or "descended for the Qur'an."
