حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ وَهُوَ الْعَطَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ عُرْفُطَةَ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا يُقَالُ لَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حُنَيْنٍ وَكَانَ يُنْبَزُ قُرْقُورًا وَقَعَ عَلَى جَارِيَةِ امْرَأَتِهِ قَالَ فَرُفِعَ إِلَى النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ فَقَالَ لَأَقْضِيَنَّ فِيكَ بِقَضَاءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنْ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَكَ جَلَدْتُكَ مِائَةً وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَكَ رَجَمْتُكَ بِالْحِجَارَةِ قَالَ وَكَانَتْ قَدْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ فَجَلَدَهُ مِائَةً وَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَانًا يَقُولُ وَأَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ أَنَّهُ كَتَبَ فِيهِ إِلَى حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ وَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ بِهَذَا.
English Translation
Bahz told us: Aban b. Yazid, who is al-Attar, told us: Qatada told us: Khalid b. Urfuta told me, from Habib b. Salim, from al-Nu'man b. Bashir, that a man called Abd al-Rahman b. Hunayn, who was nicknamed Qurqur, had relations with his wife's slave girl. He said: A case was brought to al-Nu'man b. Bashir al-Ansari, and he said, "I shall judge you with the judgment of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: if she permitted her to you, I shall flog you a hundred lashes; and if she did not permit her to you, I shall stone you with stones." He said: And she had indeed permitted her to him, so he flogged him a hundred lashes. He said: I heard Aban say: Qatada informed us that he wrote about this matter to Habib b. Salim, and he wrote this to him.
