حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ يُسَيْعٍ الْكِنْدِيِّ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ هُوَ الْعِبَادَةُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ { وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمْ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ } قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ يُسَيْعٌ الْكِنْدِيُّ يُسَيْعُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ.
English Translation
Abu Mu'awiya told us: al-A'mash told us, from Dharr, from Yusay' al-Kindi, from al-Nu'man b. Bashir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, supplication is worship." Then he recited: {And your Lord says: Call upon Me, I will respond to you. Indeed, those who are too arrogant to worship Me will enter Hell in humiliation.} Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Yusay' al-Kindi is Yusay' b. Ma'dan.
