English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Sulayman, from Abu Wa'il, who said: Abu Musa said to Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: If we do not find water, we should not pray. Abdullah said: Yes, if we do not find water for a month, we would not pray, and if I granted them a concession in this, then whenever one of them found the water cold, he would say - meaning perform tayammum and pray - thus. I said to him: Then where is Ammar's statement to Umar? He said: I never saw Umar satisfied with the statement of Ammar.
