English Translation
Isma'il narrated to us: Da'ud ibn Abi Hind narrated to us, from al-Sha'bi, who said: Abu Jubayrah ibn ad-Dahhak narrated to me: It was revealed concerning us, Banu Salimah, {and do not insult one another with nicknames}. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to Medina, and there was not a man among us but had two or three names, so when one of them was called by one of those names, they would say: O Messenger of Allah, he becomes angry at this. He said: So it was revealed: {and do not insult one another with nicknames}.
