حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْجُوَيْرِيَةِ عَنْ مَعْنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ السُّلَمِيِّ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا وَأَبِي وَجَدِّي وَخَاصَمْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَأَفْلَجَنِي وَخَطَبَ عَلَيَّ فَأَنْكَحَنِي.
English Translation
Hisham ibn Sa'id narrated to us: Abu Awanah informed us, from Abu al-Juwayriyyah, from Ma'n ibn Yazid al-Sulami - I heard him say: I, my father, and my grandfather gave the pledge of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and I brought a dispute to him and he ruled in my favor, and he proposed marriage on my behalf and married me off.
