حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ حَدَّثَنَا كُرَيْبُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ أَخِي أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فَنَاءَ أُمَّتِي قَتْلًا فِي سَبِيلِكَ بِالطَّعْنِ وَالطَّاعُونِ.
English Translation
'Affan narrated to us: 'Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad narrated to us: 'Asim al-Ahwal narrated to us: Kurayb ibn al-Harith ibn Abi Musa narrated to us, from Abu Burdah ibn Qays, brother of Abu Musa, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'O Allah, make the demise of my nation come through being killed in Your way, by the spear-thrust and by the plague.'
