English Translation

Affan told us, Shu'bah told us, he said Sa'd ibn Ibrahim informed me, he said: I heard Nasr ibn Abd al-Rahman, from his grandfather Mu'adh ibn Afra', that he circumambulated with Mu'adh ibn Afra' and did not pray after the afternoon prayer or after dawn. He said, "What prevents you from praying?" He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbidding it, or saying, "There is no prayer after dawn until the sun rises, and after the afternoon prayer until the sun sets."
