حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ وَجَدَ تَمْرًا فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ تَمْرًا فَلْيُفْطِرْ عَلَى مَاءٍ فَإِنَّ الْمَاءَ طَهُورٌ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Asim, from Hafsah, from Salman ibn Amir, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: 'Whoever finds dates, let him break his fast with them; if he cannot find dates, let him break his fast with water, for water is purifying.'
