حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي قَبِيلٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ عَقَلْتُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلْفَ مَثَلٍ.
English Translation
Ishaq b. 'Isa told us, he said: Ibn Lahi'ah told me, from Abu Qabil, from 'Amr b. al-'As, who said: "I have retained a thousand proverbs/parables from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."
