English Translation
Abdullah ibn Yazid told us, Haywah told us, Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn al-Had told me, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith, from Busr ibn Sa'id, from Abu Qais, the freed slave of Amr ibn al-As, from Amr ibn al-As, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "When a judge exercises his judgment and reaches the correct conclusion, he has two rewards; and when he exercises his judgment and errs, he has one reward." He said: I related this hadith to Abu Bakr ibn Amr ibn Hazm, and he said, "This is how Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated it to me, from Abu Hurayrah."
