حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي لَيْثٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ الْكِنْدِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الثَّيِّبُ تُعْرِبُ عَنْ نَفْسِهَا وَالْبِكْرُ رِضَاهَا صَمْتُهَا.
English Translation
Ishaq ibn Isa told us, he said: Layth — meaning Ibn Sa'd — told me, he said: Abdullah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Husayn told me, from Adi ibn Adi al-Kindi, from his father, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: The previously-married woman expresses [her consent] for herself, and the virgin's consent is her silence.
