English Translation
Aswad ibn Amir told us: Sharik told us, from Layth, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Amr al-Thumali, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sent sacrificial animals with me, and said: 'If any of them becomes disabled, slaughter it, then dip its sandal-mark in its blood, then strike it upon its side, and do not eat, neither you nor your traveling companions, and leave it between it and the people.'
