حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَوْ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ إِذَا وَقَعَ الطَّاعُونُ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا وَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِأَرْضٍ وَلَسْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَقْدَمُوا عَلَيْهِ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Hammad ibn Salamah told us, saying: Ikrimah ibn Khalid al-Makhzumi informed us, from his father or from his uncle, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said during the expedition of Tabuk: 'If plague breaks out in a land while you are in it, do not leave it, and if it breaks out in a land while you are not in it, do not go into it.'
