حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَاسِجٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدٍ قَالَ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْقِتَالِ فَرُمِيَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ بِسَهْمٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْجَبَ هَذَا وَقَالُوا حِينَ أَمَرَهُمْ بِالْقِتَالِ إِذَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَا نَقُولُ كَمَا قَالَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ { اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ } وَلَكِنْ اذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا مَعَكُمَا مِنْ الْمُقَاتِلِينَ.
English Translation
Isam ibn Khalid narrated to us, he said: Abu Abdullah al-Hasan ibn Ayyub narrated to us, he said: Abdullah ibn Nasij al-Hadrami narrated to me, he said: Utbah ibn Abd narrated to me, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered fighting, and a man among his companions was struck by an arrow, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'This one has earned it.' And they said, when he ordered them to fight: 'Then, O Messenger of Allah, we will not say as the Children of Israel said: Go, you and your Lord, and fight; we will sit here. Rather: Go, you and your Lord, and fight; we are with you both among those who fight.'
